Never really liked the P1 (care more about the 918) - but holy hell it looked good. And it was a very good review by Jeremy, no nonsense or bullshit.

Lastly Hammond will drive the 918 later on in the series(!) and then the two cars will have a Top Gear Lap Showdown. Cant wait

The P1 is so dope but if I head a gun to my head I would prefer the 918 all day. The p1 has this impression of being incredibly technical but the 918 seems more like a pure sports car turned up to a 14 on 10 pt scale. Plus I just love the exhausts out the top so cool.

Hammond drives the 918 in a few weeks then they'll do the laps. Colour me happy, too bad no Laferrari this season but i'm looking forward to the Zenvo review.

Yep I agree, would totally take the 918 but I have serious amounts of respect for the P1. Im pretty sure itll be much quicker than the 918 around the Top Gear track, but Id still take the 918

I love the McLarens most of all. I know they get a rap as being too technical, too much science and not enough art... But I guess that is my personality anyway. Maybe that is why I am drawn to the McLaren. I drive stick, I shoot on a DSLR for my kids birthdays, I get around Windows with the command prompt / run box / PowerShell and I love the McLaren.

Maybe the McLaren is really just meant for guys like me, who enjoy to read the 260 page manual to our camera cover to cover twice...

What is everybody betting on the lap times? I bet the P1 is in the 1:10s and the 918 is in the 1:11s. Gonna be epic!

Considering the Paganis 1:13 and without KERS Ill go with below 1:10 for the P1 and around 1:11 for the 918.

But the way they set up the showdown at the end makes me think that maybe the Porsche will be faster

They need to do a road trip with Jeremy in the P1, Hammond in the 918, and May driving the LaFerrari.

True - thats what I think as well.

But someone a while back who shopped around for all 3 hypercars said the Porsche will surprise. Plus the Top Gear Magazine feature showed it in great light as well.

So who knows, just happy watching really!
